The Holiday Mailing Ink Checklist: Don't Run Dry in December

November through January is the heaviest mail stretch of the year.

Cards. Invoices. Year-end statements. Promos.

Your meter runs harder. Your ink runs out faster.

Here's how to not get caught empty mid-mailing.

The 5-minute holiday ink checklist

  1. Check your ink level today. Not the week you need it.
  2. Know your yield. Example: our ECOQ357 for Quadient iX-3 runs ~17,000 impressions. Divide by your daily volume. That's your runway.
  3. Have a spare on the shelf. One in the meter, one in the drawer.
  4. Don't forget sealing solution. Running out of sealer stops a mailing just as fast as running out of ink.
  5. Confirm your exact model. Pitney Bowes, Quadient/NeoPost, and FP all use different cartridges. Even within a brand, fit varies.
  6. Order before the peak. Early November beats mid-December.
